Open Studio Sunday

On selected Sundays we offer all our open studio projects (pottery, clay, stuffed animals, mosaics, jewelry making & wood projects) as well as two classes. Price for open studio is the project plus a $5 sitting fee per participant. Classes priced as marked.

Dates for Open Studio are Feb. 1, March 22, April 5, May 3, June 14, August 23 12-5p.m.

‘Oaxacan Style’ Pottery Painting The rich folk art tradition of the Oaxaca State in Mexico is translated into beautiful works of art in pottery. By using a small piece of bisque ware and pottery paint you too can easily transform the ordinary into exuberant, fanciful and brilliant. A great class for those who don’t ‘feel ‘creative. Hand made by you- Prayer Bowl-the beauty and simplicity of these bowls is self-evident. Regardless of your religion these painted bowls will hold all your prayer requests. Bring in your favorite verse, scripture or saying and with a simple template you will paint your background and add your words. We do the rest by glazing and firing your piece.

Paint-a Thon We had such a great time at the Make, bake and Take, that we at Wonderworks are going to do it again! We will have a Valentine’s and a Passover/Easter edition. Of course for Valentine’s Day we will have a variety of heart boxes, handprint plates and heart mugs and shaped plates. For the Passover/Easter edition we have Seder plates and bowls, cross and bunny boxes, eggs, plates that handprints will transform and of course our wide selection of pottery. If you pre-register we will waive the sitting fee for that day.

Teacups & Tea for Mom & Me Sit down for a relaxing afternoon with your special mom, grandmom or aunt to paint a china teacup and saucer. We will have our very own tea and lemonade party, along with finger foods and cookies to enjoy. All ages welcome.

American Girl Fun when in the last time you played with your American Girl doll? Well we will give you that chance by bringing your doll to our studio where we will listen to some stories, play silly and fun games, make a scrapbook
